TOPCALL moves ahead in Poland: Unified Communications expert acquires 80 percent of Softex Telekom

"With the acquisition of Softex we have taken another important step
towards the emerging markets of Central and Eastern Europe", says
Herbert Blieberger, CEO of TOPCALL, about the company's motives for
the takeover. Softex Telekom was founded in 1999 in Warsaw by the
Polish systems integrator Softex Data as a distribution subsidiary
for TOPCALL solutions. "Our strategy is to attract international
groups that already rely on TOPCALL solutions in Western Europe and
in the USA, as new customers in the CEE countries. In the corporate
customer business, local partners are very important but what counts
even more is an internationally established brand. For this reason we
have decided to use the company name TOPCALL in the Polish market",
explains Blieberger, who opened a branch office in Hungary in March
2002.

forecast economic growth for the current year is 2.5 percent, for
