Stocks in Europe mixed at open after German data

Equities on major European stock markets traded mixed at the start of trading sessions on Friday after Germany's Destatis reported better than expected trade and industrial production figures in June. Also, United Kingdom's Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak said that he expects that the talks between the UK and the European Union to end with a deal in place.

The DAX rose by 0.30% at 9:03 am CET with Deutsche Telekom AG, which gained 1.94% at 9:06 am CET, as the best performer. London's FTSE 100 was 0.13% lower at 9:00 am CET as IAG dropped 2.02% at 9:02 am CET. The CAC was flat at 9:02 am CET, with ArcelorMittal losing 1.70% at 9:04 am CET.

The euro was 0.29% down compared to the dollar at 9:08 am CET, trading for 1.18428. The British pound decreased by 0.13% against the American currency, going for 1.31236 concurrently.
