Asia-Pacific equities mixed amid coronavirus

Major stock markets in East Asia and the Pacific traded lower on Tuesday with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in focus. In business, Facebook Inc. announced that it would reverse its ban on Australian news pages "in the coming days."

In Mainland China, the Shanghai Composite slipped 0.18% at 07:36 am CET while the Shenzhen Composite dropped 0.80% a minute later. Hong Kong's Hang Seng jumped 0.99% at 7:37 am CET.

The South Korean Kospi Composite slipped 0.31% at 07:38 am CET, while the S&P/ASX 200 in Australia grew 0.79% at 07:18 am CET.

In Japan, the Nikkei 225 was closed for a public holiday. The dollar was flat against the yen at 7:37 am CET and sold for 105.0975 at the same time.
