United States cable operator WideOpenWest, also known as WOW!, reported on Wednesday that it will sell five service areas for a total of $1.8 billion.

The company stated that it is selling its Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio, service areas to Atlantic Broadband for $1.13 billion and its Chicago, Evansville, Indiana, and Anne Arundel, Maryland to Astound Broadband for $661 million.

The two transactions, which are expected to close in the second half of 2021, will help WideOpenWest reduce its debt, the company said.
