GM recalls 69,000 Bolt EVs over faulty batteries

General Motors Company unveiled in a statement published on Friday that it will recall approximately 69,000 Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicles due to a possible battery defect that can cause a fire.

Out of the entire number, more than 50,000 recalled vehicles were sold in the United States, the company said and underlined that the malfunctioning modules will be replaced.

The first recall of the model occurred in November 2020, while the company, last week, urged customers not to leave the vehicles unattended while charging, and advised them not to park their vehicles close to homes after charging.
