Amazon.com Inc. postponed employees' return to offices in the United States for regular work until January 3, 2022, GeekWire reported on Thursday, citing information the company sent to staff this morning.

The previously set date for return to company offices was September 7. The e-commerce giant decided to delay the move due to the emergence of the Delta coronavirus variant in the US.

Amazon did not announce a vaccine mandate for office employees, unlike Microsoft, Google, and Facebook.
