Europe ends mixed amid data, earnings

European markets closed mixed on Thursday as investors digested and economic data, including industrial production figures from the Eurozone and the United Kingdom, as well as UK GDP figures. On the earnings front, RWE and Deutsche Telekom were among companies that reported their results earlier in the day.

The FTSE 100 declined 0.37%. The best performer was Aviva as its stock added 3.47%.

The DAX climbed 0.70% with Deutsche Telekom jumping 2.87% on upbeat earnings.

The CAC closed 0.43% higher. Stellantis, whose shares rose 2.48%, led the gains.

The euro lost 0.04% against the dollar to sell for 1.17339 at 5:31 pm CET and the pound fell 0.23% compared to the US currency to go for 1.38337 at the same time.
