Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. announced on Thursday that its "next-generation" monoclonal antibodies are effective against the Omicron and Delta coronavirus variant, as well as other variants of concern.

At the same time, the company noted that its authorized REGEN-COV (casirivimab and imdevimab) antibody cocktail has diminished potency against Omicron, but is still effective Delta.

Regeneron noted that the "next-generation" antibody cocktail should be entering clinics in the first quarter of the next year, pending regulatory approval.
