US opens higher amid data

Major stock markets in the United States opened higher on Wednesday after the country revealed its international trade deficit observed a monthly rise in November. Traders are now waiting for the nation's latest results in pending home sales and stocks of crude oil.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average went up by 0.06% at the opening as Nike Inc. grew by 0.90%. The Nasdaq 100 advanced by 0.13%, with Micron Technology Inc. gaining 2.13%. The S&P 500 increased by 0.08% as Western Digital Corporation surged by 6.60%.

The euro rose by 0.15% against the dollar at 9:28 am ET to sell for $1.13281.
