Siemens Q1 revenue up 17% to €16.5B

Siemens AG reported on Thursday that its revenue annually surged 17% to reach €16.5 billion in its first fiscal quarter of 2022, with net income jumping 20% to €1.8 billion or basic earnings per share of €2.05.

"We had a very successful start into fiscal 2022. All our businesses continued their high-value growth. We delivered strong results and increased our earnings per share before purchase price allocation by 20%. At the same time, we continue to sharpen our portfolio as a focused technology company," CEO Roland Busch noted.

Commenting on the outlook, Siemens noted its full-year guidance has remained unchanged and that the company is expecting coronavirus-related supply chain issues to ease over the course of the year.
