RWE AG announced on Thursday that its adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) in the first half of the year rose 63% to €2.86 billion from €1.04 billion in the same period a year earlier.

On the other hand, its adjusted net income went up by 80% compared with the first six months in 2021 to €1.6 billion. Taking into account the results published today, RWE confirms the current-year outlook posted on July 27, 2022, "and a dividend target of €0.90 per share for the 2022 financial year remains unchanged."

"In the first half of 2022, our earnings increased significantly, and on the back of this, we have raised our forecast for the whole year. The earnings we are generating will benefit the energy transition," said Markus Krebber, CEO of RWE AG.
