Nord Stream 2 'unable to inspect' damaged parts

Tuesday, 04. October 2022 19:42

Nord Stream AG stated on Tuesday it is unable to examine the damaged parts of the eponymous pipeline as it has not been given the necessary permits to conduct those inspections.

In its written statement, the company said it is still waiting for adequate approvals from Denmark, Sweden, and Norway to perform the reviews. Denmark and Sweden are both conducting investigations into the damages to the pipeline, while Norway is still to give a "green light" for the Nord Stream AG's survey vessel to depart, the firm says.

Earlier in the day, Nord Stream AG told RIA Novosti it is waiting for the police investigations into the damages to conclude before conducting its own probe.
