US higher premarket with data, earnings in focus

Major stock exchanges on Wall Street traded above the flatline in the premarket on Tuesday as investors awaited the release of the country's jobs data, construction spending, and manufacturing activity set to be published in the coming hours.

Large corporations, including Eli Lilly, Pfizer, Uber, and Fox, will unveil their quarterly financial reports before the opening bell, while Advanced Micro Devices and Airbnb will issue their earnings after the markets close. In addition, the Federal Reserve will convene its November meeting today which is expected to bring another interest rate increase as part of monetary policy in the face of raging inflation.

The Dow Jones Industrial surged by 226 points or 0.69% at 4:13 am ET. The Nasdaq jumped by 1.07% or 123 points and the S&P 500 gained 0.89% a minute later. The euro rose 0.60% against the American currency, to change hands to $0.99434 at 4:15 am ET.
