Major United States stock indexes dropped further in the premarket trade on Wednesday, with the Dow Jones losing over 200 points. The earnings season is in full swing as Boeing reported a 35% jump in revenues in the fourth quarter, AT&T saw sales grow 0.8%, while Abbott Laboratories' revenue decreased by 12%. Tesla is posting its quarterly earnings after the closing bell, with analysts expecting record figures.

The Dow Jones dropped 0.62% or 208 points, while the Nasdaq 100 plunged 1.28% and the S&P 500 lost 0.81% at 8:01 am ET.

The euro traded flat compared to the dollar and sold for 1.08780 at 8:02 am ET.
