Major stock market indexes in the United States closed mixed on Wednesday ahead of the release of the newest earnings reports from Levi Strauss & Co., the International Business Machines Corporation (IBM), and most notably, Tesla Inc. Earlier in the day, the Boeing Company reported a loss from operations of $353 million in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2022, and Abbott Laboratories a decline in revenue of 12%.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 stood flat at the close, with the former having dropped by more than 400 points at one point during the session. The Nasdaq 100 declined by 0.18% as Intuitive Surgical Inc. plunged by 5.50%.

The euro grew by 0.30% against the dollar at 3:58 pm ET to sell for $1.09146.
