Russia hit a new record of 88,816 daily coronavirus infections, up from 74,692 a day earlier, bringing the total number of cases to 11,404,617, the country's health authorities announced on Thursday.

The authorities registered 12,807 hospitalizations due to COVID-19 symptoms in the last 24 hours and reported 665 deaths in the same period of time.
