Blizzard China, a subsidiary of Activision Blizzard Inc., said on Tuesday that NetEase Inc. rejected its offer to extend the companies' partnership for another six months.

Blizzard noted in a post on Weibo that it asked NetEase last week to extend their 14-year partnership, but its proposal was rejected and the partnership is set to end on January 23.

Earlier, NetEase claimed that Activision Blizzard's proposed terms for the deal extension were unacceptable. Meanwhile, media reports stated last week that NetEase dissolved the team working on Blizzard games, either firing employees or moving them to other divisions.
