France to lengthen wait between vaccine doses - Veran

France will make changes regarding the vaccination against COVID-19 and separate the two doses of vaccines developed by Moderna and Pfizer by six weeks instead of four, which has been the case so far, country's Health Minister Olivier Veran said.

In an interview published in the JDD newspaper, Veran explained that the modification will enable the French health authorities to "vaccinate more people without reducing protection."

He reiterated that it is too soon to ease the measures aimed at curbing the spread of the virus in the country, adding that he expects the number of infections to soon start to fall.
