US regulators lift pause on J&J vaccine after panel recommendation

The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said they have lifted the recommended pause on the use of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.

The move comes after CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices issued a recommendation for the resumption of the use of the jab in the country.

Earlier in April, the CDC and the FDA urged states to temporarily halt inoculation with the J&J vaccine amid reports of six patients developing blood clots after receiving their shots.
