The Danish government has asked the country's health authorities to revisit the decision to suspend the use of the coronavirus vaccine developed by Johnson & Johnson, the local broadcaster TV 2 reported on Monday, citing unnamed sources.

According to the report, the reason behind the move is the slower-than-expected rollout of the mRNA COVID vaccine made by Moderna Inc.

Denmark was the first country to pause the rollout of the one-shot vaccine, due to concerns of links between vaccination and increased risk of blood clots. Before that, the Scandinavian country halted the use of the vaccine developed by AstraZeneca plc and Oxford University.
