The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) told Johnson & Johnson to dispose of 60 million doses of its COVID-19 vaccine made in the Emergent BioSolutions plant in Baltimore, the New York Times reported on Friday citing people familiar with the matter.

The report added that 10 million doses of J&J's single-shot vaccine can still be used, along with an accompanying warning, as was reported earlier today.

FDA's probe came after some 170 million jab doses, 100 million of which Johnson & Johnson's, were allegedly contaminated with a key ingredient of a different COVID shot.
