British Prime Minister Boris Johnson (pictured) tested negative for the coronavirus, his spokesperson announced during a press conference on Monday.

Johnson will remain in isolation in his residence for the next seven days after he came into contact with the country's Health Secretary Sajid Javid who contracted the virus earlier.

Johnson previously revealed he will not isolate after coming into contact with Javid, but backpedaled after a stout reaction from the public and his political opponents.
