United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson expressed confidence on Wednesday that Britain can strike a free trade agreement with the United States in the future.

"The Biden administration is not doing free-trade deals around the world right now but I’ve got absolutely every confidence that a great deal is there to be done," Johnson said, adding that the UK is currently seeking to "make solid incremental steps in trade."

Earlier, Johnson met US President Joe Biden and the two leaders agreed to "continue working towards a future full free trade agreement."
