Johnson: Demand behind fuel issues, not supply

The ongoing issues with fuel delivery across the United Kingdom should be attributed to "demand, not supply," according to the country's Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Speaking to Sky News, he echoed the sentiment of his cabinet by saying that "the situation is stabilizing."

On the government's decision to issue temporary work visas until March 2022 to 300 fuel tanker drivers from overseas, Johnson said that the future of the program will remain "under review" as Downing Street does not want "a lot of low wage immigration" in the sector.
