J&J's Q3 revenue at $23.3 billion, up by 10.7% YoY

Johnson and Johnson (J&J) announced on Tuesday its total sales in the third quarter of the year came in at $23.3 billion, gaining 10.7% in comparison to the same period in 2020 but slightly missing expectations. The company's net earnings observed an annual rise of 3.2% to $3.67 billion. Meanwhile, its diluted earnings per share (EPS) grew by 3.0% year-on-year to $1.37 per share.

"In the face of evolving marketplace dynamics resulting from the effects of COVID-19 and other global trends, we have continued to demonstrate the responsiveness and agility required to meet the needs of our stakeholders, while also successfully investing in a pipeline of innovation and key commercial platforms to drive our future growth," the firm's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Alex Gorsky commented on the results.

J&J's shares went up by 1.56% in the premarket trading following the release of the report.
