Switzerland approves J&J booster

Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products (Swissmedic) revealed on Monday it approved a booster dose of the Johnson & Johnson single-shot coronavirus vaccine for people aged 18 and over.

Swissmedic recommends administering the booster dose after a minimum of two months following the first dose.

A Johnson & Johnson booster shot can also be given six months after the second dose of mRNA vaccines made by Pfizer Inc./BioNTech SE or Moderna Inc., according to Swissmedic's recommendations.
