Heathrow told on Monday airlines flying from it to cancel 61 flights and warned them more cuts will follow as the airport is struggling to serve all the passengers traveling at the moment with the number of staff it has.

"We will review the schedule changes that airlines have submitted in response to the government's requirement to minimize disruption for passengers this summer and will ask them to take further action if necessary," Heathrow Chief Executive Officer (CEO) John Holland-Kaye stated.

Earlier this month, the United Kingdom's flag carrier and the company with most flights from Heathrow, British Airways, announced it is canceling another 10,300 short-haul flights scheduled for the summer due to a limited number of workers at the airports.
