Delta Air Lines reported on Wednesday that its revenue for the second quarter of the year increased compared to the same one in 2019 (before the pandemic) and reached $13.8 billion, with its operating income standing at $1.5 billion.

''Domestic passenger revenue was 3% higher and international passenger revenue was 81% recovered compared to the June quarter 2019,'' the carrier noted, adding that its earnings per share stood at $1.15 in the second quarter of 2022, while its operating cash flow landed at $2.5 billion. ''With growing demand across our network in the June quarter, we recaptured higher fuel prices and delivered adjusted revenue recovery of 99% with unit revenues up 20.5% versus 2019,'' the company said, claiming it predicts its September ''quarter revenue to be up 1 to 5% compared to 2019 with total unit revenue growth improving sequentially.''
