US approves $2B arms sale to Netherlands, UAE, Australia, Kuwait

The United States Defense Department announced on Thursday that the State Department approved the sale of $2 billion wroth of weapons and equipment to four countries.

The Pentagon noted that approvals were granted for the sale of 96 Raytheon's Patriot missiles to the Netherlands worth $1.2 billion, as well as 80 Lockheed Martin's Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missiles for Australia worth $235 million.

Furthermore, US also approved the $206 million sale of an oceanographic observation equipment system to the United Arab Emirates and a $397 deal to sell various Raytheon and Lockheed Martin munitions to Kuwait.
