BlackBerry posts Q2 revenue of $168M

BlackBerry Ltd. announced Tuesday it booked revenues of $168 million in the second quarter of its fiscal 2023, marking a decrease compared to last year's $175 million.

However, the company's net loss for the three months ended August 31 went down by about 62% on an annual basis to $54 million and its basic loss per share landed at $0.09, improving by $0.16 compared to the same quarter of fiscal 2022.

"This was a solid second quarter for BlackBerry, where we delivered both revenue in line with, and EPS ahead of, expectations [...] We're executing on our plan and we're seeing the decisions made in recent quarters starting to pay off, with Cybersecurity ARR expected to resume growth early next fiscal year," BlackBerry CEO John Chen said.
