Wall Street extended earlier premarket gains on Tuesday after more third-quarter earnings reports poured in ahead of the trading session. Johnson and Johnson, Goldman Sachs and Lockheed Martin all released their latest quarterly results today and will be followed by Netflix and United Airlines after the close.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average index soared 1.86% or 560 points, the Nasdaq 100 jumped 2.26% and the S&P 500 surged 2.01% at 8:19 am ET.

The euro was 0.10% lower than the dollar, going for 0.98346 a minute later.
