Major stock exchanges on Wall Street edged higher in the premarket session on Thursday as investors digested the release of corporate earnings from AT&T Inc., American Airlines Inc., Blackstone Inc., and Philip Morris International Inc. as well as third-quarter earnings reports by Tesla Inc. and IBM that marked the previous trading session.

Market participants today look ahead to the update on the country's job data and existing home sales report.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 0.43% at 8:03 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 was up by 0.09%, and the S&P 500 gained 0.24% at the same time. The euro traded 0.39% higher against the American currency, to change hands to $0.98124 a minute later.
