Raytheon Missiles & Defense and the United States Army reached a $1.2 billion agreement on delivering six National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System (NASAMS) batteries to Ukraine. Under the deal, Ukraine's military will also be provided with "training and logistical support."

US Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment William LaPlante claimed in a press release that "these are proven systems that will continue making a difference on the battlefield."

Meanwhile, CNN reported separately that the White House is examining the possibility of substantially raising the levels of training of Ukrainian forces by their American counterparts. The supposed plan would include the US training up to 2,500 Ukrainians per month at an American military base in Grafenwoehr, Germany.
