US oil inventories down by 6.4 million barrels - report

Crude oil inventories in the United States slumped by 6.4 million barrels in the week that ended December 2, private data from the American Petroleum Institute (API) reportedly showed on Tuesday.

Reserves in Cushing, Oklahoma, allegedly rose by 30,000 barrels. Meanwhile, gasoline stockpiles surged by 5.93 million barrels, and distillate inventories increased by 3.55 million barrels, according to the report.
