United States President Joe Biden (pictured) expressed Tuesday that his administration is working to ensure that airlines meet their obligations.

"Our Administration is working to ensure airlines are held accountable," said Biden in a recent tweet after airlines across the United States canceled flights over winter storms that engulfed the country during the Christmas holidays.

Also today, Biden approved an emergency declaration request for New York to alleviate the blizzard's effects.
