Europe ends mixed amid Brexit uncertainties

European stock markets closed mixed on Monday amid Brexit developments and economic data. Media outlets earlier reported that the United Kingdom's cabinet members expect that the European Union would grant the UK a nine-month delay to the original Brexit date, as the Speaker of the British House of Commons Bercow announced the government should submit a "substantially different" proposal if the third meaningful vote was even to to occur. Meanwhile, Germany's Bundesbank said that the country's industrial production has lagged since the start of the year, negatively impacting economic growth.

The FTSE 100 closed 0.60% in the green with Sainsbury (J) PLC ORD 28 adding 4.75%. The DAX lost 0.21% at the market close, bogged down by Covestro AG O.N.'s losses of 3.32%. The CAC 40 added 0.07% higher at the end of the day, with Societe Generale soaring 2.56%.

The euro traded 0.08% higher against the dollar, selling for 1.1333 at 5:32 pm CET, while it rose 0.53% compared to the Sterling, changing hands for 0.8567 at the same time.
