Linde's Q3 sales income at $6.85B, down 2% YoY

Linde Plc announced on Wednesday its sales income in the third quarter of the year landed at $6.85 billion, which marks a decrease of 2% in comparison to the same period last year. It also reported its diluted earnings per share came in at $1.32, worsening by 1.5% from $1.34 reported in the same trimester of 2019.

The company's revenue from continuing operations stood at $699 million, declining by 3.98% year-on-year. On the other hand, its operating cash flow rose by 1% on an annual level to $1.88 billion.

"Looking ahead, there is significant uncertainty in the environment, but regardless of the underlying economy, I have confidence in our business model and high-performance culture to continue growing earnings and cash flow for years to come," Linde's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Steve Angel commented on the results.

After the release of the report, the chemical company's shares rose by 3.87% in the premarket trading at 6:15 am ET.
