Europe up in premarket ahead of ECB's updates

Equities in Europe traded higher in the premarket on Thursday as investors are waiting for the European Central Bank's (ECB) newest decisions regarding interest rates and monetary policy. Meanwhile, it was reported the United Kingdom will introduce certificates that would prove one has been inoculated against COVID-19 and thus facilitated international travel next month. In the meantime, SAP SE revealed its earnings per share (EPS) in the first quarter of 2021 saw annual growth of 29%.

The DAX traded 0.49% higher at 7:55 am CET. At the same time, the FTSE 100 advanced by 0.50%, while the CAC 40 rose by 0.52%.

Both the euro and the pound sterling stood flat against the dollar to sell for $1.20338 and $1.39340, respectively, at 7:57 am CET.
