Yield on 10-year Treasury note jumps on CPI data

The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note rose on Thursday following the latest update on inflation in the United States.

According to the Labor Department, consumer prices increased at their fastest annual rate in nearly 13 years, beating analyst expectations.

The yield on the 10-year Treasury note jumped 3.3 basis points to 1.523% at 9:05 am ET following the CPI report.
