Asia-Pacific stocks higher despite COVID concerns

Equities on major stock markets in East Asia and the Pacific region were above the flatline during Thursday's morning trade as yesterday's rally continued. The United States officials said that they were monitoring the trade situation between Australia and China.

The Shanghai Composite gained 0.09% at 4:09 am CET and the Shenzhen Composite advanced 0.26% at 4:10 am CET. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng jumped 1.32% concurrently.

South Korea's Kospi grew 0.92% at 4:10 am CET and the Australian S&P/ASX jumped 0.75% at the same time.

The dollar decreased 0.17% against the yen to sell for ¥110.1080 at 4:09 am CET. The Nikkei 225 index closed for a public holiday.
