Asia mostly lower after Japan PPI data

Equities on the Asian markets started the week's trading session mostly lower on Monday with investors reacting to data coming out of Japan. The country's central bank released its producer price figure, which went below the estimates in August.

In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite went up by 0.24% at 4:34 am CET and the Shenzhen Composite lost 0.5% a minute later. At 4:35 am CET, Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell by 1.68%, with South Korea's Kospi and Japan's Nikkei 225 decreasing by 0.20% and 0.29%, respectfully, at the same time.

The dollar stood 0.04% higher against the yen, going for ¥109.9530 at 4:37 am CET, as the Australian S&P/ASX 200 added 0.30%.
