Asia-Pacific trades mixed ahead of data

Major stock markets in the Asia-Pacific region traded mixed on Monday ahead of the release of the newest report on Japan's industrial production. Earlier, the United States remarked it remains open to the possibility of negotiating with North Korea.

Japan's Nikkei 225 rose by 0.38% at 4:35 am CET, as the dollar gained 0.08% against the yen to go for ¥110.0895 at 5:14 am CET. South Korea's Kospi Composite advanced by 0.80% at 5:15 am CET. At the same time, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 lost 0.26%.

In mainland China, Shanghai Composite went up by 0.13% at 5:01 am CET, while Shenzhen Composite grew by 0.75%. Meanwhile, Hong Kong's Hang Seng declined by 0.26% at 5:17 am CET.
