French benchmark index CAC 40 hit a new record high on Wednesday as it reached 6,948.84 points.

The CAC 40 rose 0.29% at 3:30 pm CET. The best performer was Worldline, whose shares rallied over 3%.

Meanwhile, other major European indexes remained in the red as the FTSE 100 fell 0.45% at 3:33 pm CET and the DAX lost 0.10% at 3:32 pm CET.
