Sanofi, GSK to ask for COVID-19 vaccine authorization |

French multinational healthcare company Sanofi S.A. and British GlaxoSmithKline plc (GSK) shared on Wednesday that they will be seeking "regulatory authorization for [our] COVID-19 vaccine." Executive Vice President of Sanofi Thomas Triomphe stated that the "Sanofi-GSK vaccine demonstrates a universal ability to boost all platforms and across all ages." President of GSK Vaccines Roger Connor added that "this vaccine can play an important role as we continue to address this pandemic and prepare for the post-pandemic period." Official data confirmed the vaccine efficiency to stand at 77% "against any Delta variant-associated symptomatic COVID-19 disease." |
