Unilever CEO Jope to retire at end of 2023

Unilever announced Monday that, after five years in the position, its CEO Alan Jope will retire at the end of 2023.

The British multinational company said in the press release that now the Board will start with the formal procedure to elect a successor, which will consider both external and internal candidates.

"Growth remains our top priority, and in the quarters ahead, I will remain fully focused on disciplined execution of our strategy and leveraging the full benefits of our new organization," Unilever CEO Alan Jope said.
