GlaxoSmithKline plc (GSK) revealed on Wednesday that its turnover reached £7.8 billion in the third quarter of fiscal 2022, jumping 18% on a yearly basis.

Meanwhile, in the reported trimester, GSK's total operating profit tumbled 14% in comparison to the same period in 2021, coming in at £1.2 billion. On the other hand, adjusted operating profit saw an annual increase of 18% to stand at £2.6 billion, while adjusted earnings per share amounted to 46.9p, soaring 25% year over year.

The 2022 full-year guidance was revised up, with adjusted operating profit now expected to rise between 15% to 17%, from previous growth estimates of between 13% to 15%. "We are again raising our full-year guidance and expect good momentum in 2023, further strengthening our confidence in our performance outlooks, driven by Shingrix global expansion and expected new launches," CEO Emma Walmsley commented.
