AstraZeneca plc said on Thursday that its revenue in the third quarter of the fiscal year amounted to $10.9 billion, soaring 11% compared to the same period last year.

Reported earnings per share (EPS) for the trimester jumped 55% year on year to $1.06, while core EPS skyrocketed 70% year on year to reach $1.67.

"After a strong performance in the year to date, we have increased our Core EPS guidance for the full year 2022," the company's CEO Pascal Soriot said. According to the report, the Core EPS is now projected to increase by "a high twenties to low thirties percentage," while total revenue is expected to expand by "a low twenties percentage" at the end of the year.
