The FTSE 100 was 0.30% higher at the close, as low-cost airline EasyJet Plc gained 2.03%.

The German DAX rose 0.51% at the end of the trading day. ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE mass media company increased 2.12%.

The French CAC 40 finished the session 0.48% in the green, with TechnipFMC rising 2.25%.

The euro was 0.13% lower against the dollar and sold for 1.22892 at 5:36 pm CET, while the pound was only 0.05% down compared to the dollar and went for 1.3930.
