Asia mostly higher after Japan PPI data

Most equities on the Asian markets traded higher on Thursday with investors reacting to data coming out of Japan. The country's central bank released its producer price figure for the month of May, which surprised expectations, marking a 0.7% month-on-month increase.

In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite went up by 0.68% at 5:08 am CET and the Shenzhen Composite added 0.36% a minute later. At 5:09 am CET, Hong Kong's Hang Seng increased by 0.43%, with South Korea's Kospi rising 0.51% at the same time. Japan's Nikkei 225 added 0.42% at 4:35 am CET.

The dollar stood 0.07% lower against the yen, going for ¥109.5590 at 5:10 am CET, as the Australian S&P/ASX 200 added 0.36%.
