Credit Suisse Group AG announced on Tuesday that former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. executive David Wildermuth will take over chief risk officer at the Zurich-based bank.

Wildermuth joined Goldman in 1997 as senior vice president. He was named partner in 2010 and deputy chief risk officer in 2015. Wildermuth will assume the role on February 1, 2022, Credit Suisse stated. Joachim Oechslin, the current interim chief risk officer, will reassume a senior role as a strategic advisor.

"I am delighted to welcome David to Credit Suisse, where he will help shape the Group's enhanced risk management framework, an essential part of the bank’s strategic realignment currently underway," Chairman Antonio Horta-Osorio said.
